I've been writing on and off for many years. I wrote my first romance in the seventh grade. After years of devoting myself to a career in healthcare, I finally decided that if I was ever going to make my dream of becoming an author come true, I would have to just get right down and do it.
In 2003, after another move with my military husband, I started work on a full length historical novel set in Regency England. I'm still working on that one, by the way. In the meantime, one morning I woke with the 'muse' knocking on my brain, with the idea for SWEET SUMMER RAIN, which was published March 2006 from Whiskey Creek Press' Torrid division. The sequel to SSR, CAJUN FIRE, has been accepted for publication and will be released December 2006. I am presently working on the third in the series. This one is my first erotic suspense.
During this time, I've taken many writing courses, joined the Romance Writers of America and the Maryland Romance Writers, and met many helpful people.
My husband, family, and friends have been very supportive during the whole process. I can't count how many times my husband fended for himself because I was right in the middle of writing a scene. Some of my family, who read my chapters to give me reader feedback, were very helpful and much appreciated.
I've had an exciting time, so far, going through the process of getting a book published. I hope to add more pages to my web site with news of stories, excerpt from my books, and links to other romance authors. Check back from time to time for more exciting info.
